Saying Goodbye.

We received word this morning that Alastair’s grandfather, Jim, had passed away peacefully last night.

We are currently in Sierra Leone, and it is hard to be so far away from loved ones, but we pray for peace and comfort for the entire family during this time.

Grandpa was an extraordinary person with a powerfully kind heart.  He was quick to smile, slow to anger, and loved to sing with a deep and hearty voice.  He was special in so many ways, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.  I feel honored to have called him “Grandpa.”

We will carry him in our hearts, always.
