It has been a quick visit in camp with Alastair’s family. Tomorrow we all are driving/canoeing to Tiwai Island, which is a wildlife sanctuary about 8 hours away. We will be camping there for a couple of nights before we head back towards Freetown. I imagine there isn’t any internet on the island so I’ll have to update on all of our activities and travels when we get back.
For now, it has been great to see that all of the animals are thriving. Apple, the piggy, looks as if she has doubled in size! Oatsy, the goat, of course is busy eating every plant in camp and Tarka, the otter, has gotten bigger and is now able to eat some solid foods. I’m sure they’ll be fine for a few more days while we’re traveling with the family.
